The Trojan Tribune is making its triumphant return to Wayzata High School this year after its last issue published in 2018.
Student advisors, Aneira Tolia and Addie Winans, noticed a lack of school community during the 2024-25 school year. Their answer–revive the school paper.
Tolia and Winans compiled a group of 20 talented journalists last spring and produced 4 issues of a Wayzata newspaper. After hundreds of readers devoured the issues, Wayzata administration stepped up this summer to support the revival of the Trojan Tribune.
The earliest issues of the Trojan Tribune, then called The Wayzatan, date back to 1941. For nearly 80 years, the voices of Wayzata students have been heard. This issue marks the dawning of a new era for the Trojan Tribune.
