Who doesn’t love concerts? Being able to scream at the top of your lungs without people looking at you like a crazy person, even though some people do.
As the summer season comes, music happens around the world, making the season filled with many mixed emotions and unforgettable experiences. This year, the concert scene is set with many talented artists getting on stages around the globe. The key concerts that happened this summer include Tate McRae, The Weeknd, Post Malone, and The Marías, with more concerts still coming up. Each artist brings their unique style and energy to the stage, promising fans to live the times of their lives.
Tate McRae:

Tate McRae has quickly excelled after her hit single “greedy” was released from her album THINK LATER in 2023. She is known for her powerful stage presence, ability to get the crowd moving, and has an astounding voice. People from all over the world gather to see her — especially since her time on YouTube. Part of what makes her concerts so special is that they are filled with diverse emotion. One second you’re crying to “you broke me first” and the next you’re dancing to “It’s ok I’m ok”. Her dance skills and amazing vocals balance out the concert well.

McRae’s Minnesota concert took place on August 13 2025, at the Xcel Energy Center. Considering this is her first arena tour, it’s safe to say this is a big accomplishment. The choreography, the lyrics, everything was just spectacular. Aneira Tolia said that “my favorite thing was hearing her live vocals. Personally, her vocals in person are so unique as she definitely adds some cool high notes and riffs.” Once again, Tate McRae’s first arena tour was not only a milestone for her but also a testament to her talent and connection with her fans. From heartfelt vocals to hip-hop dancing, she delivered a performance that was both emotionally powerful and very entertaining. The Weeknd has been the #1 artist on Spotify and won many awards. His music is popular amongst fans of R&B and pop. The Weeknd’s concert was undoubtedly a memorable one featuring hits like “Blinding Lights” and “Starboy,” accompanied by spectacular visual effects. This concert was held at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on June 14 2025. He knows how to get the crowd hype — even I could feel the energy through a video. His concerts are known for the stage designs and immersive experiences. His ability to blend storytelling, music, and visuals is truly inspirational. Kendra Gabor stated, “I liked the vibe, and the songs and lights.” The Weeknd’s concerts are more than just musical performances, they’re unforgettable experiences that leave a long-lasting impression on everyone, whether in a crowd or from afar. As fans like Kendra express, it’s a unique atmosphere and energy that makes the show special. He clearly knows how to create a moment that is kept in your hearts.

Post Malone delivered a high-energy performance, definitely a go-to artist. Fans of hip-hop, and rock usually fill the crowd. He performed hits like “Circles,” “Rockstar,” and “Sunflower, which are well liked songs. He came to Minnesota on May 20, 2025, and it took place at the U.S Bank Stadium. He has a way of making the concert memorable through his interaction with the crowd. Yusuf Ahmed stated that “Post Malone’s concert was very fun, he was also interactive. Best night of my life.” Overall, Post Malone’s dynamic stage presence and ability to connect with fans make the night memorable. His blend of genres and hits ensures everyone leaves the stadium excited waiting for the next visit.
The Marías:

Indie music lovers and fans of dreamy, suffocating sounds gathered around to see The Marías perform. The Marías hypnotized the audience with their signature blend of indie, pop, and jazz, performing popular songs like “No One Noticed” and “Heavy.” This concert was held on August 1st and it took place at The Armory in Minneapolis. Lead singer María Zardoya’s lethal vocals drew the crowd in, while the band made the performance feel really personal. The night was a perfect place to be, leaving everyone mesmerized and longing for more of The Marías’ enchanting melodies.
Lollapalooza:
Lollapalooza is a multi-day festival held in Chicago’s Grant Park, featuring many genres of music including alternative rock, electronic music and also hip-hop. It was founded in 1991 by Perry Farrell of the band Jane’s addiction as a touring festival, but permanently returned to Chicago in 2005, becoming the one of the largest and most popular music festivals globally. Lollapalooza also includes other things like political, visual arts, and nonprofit organizations. Artists that performed over the summer are Tyler, the creator, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, ASAP Rocky, Gracie Abrams, Doechi, Korn, Luke Combs, Du Sol, Twice, Rüfüs, and many more. All these artists have different vibes and bring their own thing on the stage to share with us. Many people worldwide came to see these artists perform their popular songs and see a diverse lineup of all these genres.

In addition to acting, she has launched a successful career in music. Her debut EP, Everything To Everyone, as well as her first LP, Snow Angel, showed her powerful voice and songwriting skills.. She also recently came out with an album called BITE ME. If you like her music, you’re in luck – she will be coming to Minnesota on October 10!
Sombr:
Sombr is an emerging artist that has begun to attract attention in the music industry. He makes songs that are both innovative and very relatable. His trending songs right now are “undressed” and “back to being friends.” He has recently come out with an album called I Barely Know Her. Many fans have expressed support for this new album. In interactions with his crowd and in interviews, he has a down to earth, goofy, and relatable personality that many of his fans love and are entertained by.
